What is the average time on the market for houses in a price range of $300K-$400K in Rockford, IL? Is there some kind of a database where I can find this information?

We currently live in the metro Detroit Mi area and the real estate market is HORRIBLE!!! I received an email with someone interested in buying our house via a land contract or lease with option to buy. I first said no and then my girlfriend told me I was crazy and I should take it. My husband got a job out of state so we need out soon! ANY advice on how to go about doing this safely would help….

I am looking into buying a townhouse and the neighbors said the reason it is $50,000 under the market value is because it needs updating. Then she said, And he was also a single guy you went crazy. This leads me to believe that he may have killed himself. Is there any way to find this out without asking the realtor? It is a forclosed property.

I’m an investor trying to find inviduals that are stuggling with their mortgage but aren’t yet in pre-forecslosure. I prefer the Florida markets. Can anyone help me with finding this information???

I have rented an apartment recently and I keep getting a lot of mails addressed to the previous residents, all the marketing mails i just put into the trash and other important mails of last few weeks i gave it to leasing office but again it came back to the mail box along with some more mails. Any Idea what to do ? Is there an option with USPS to filter these mails ?

Is there a public database available that I can use to find out about the fair market value of houses in my neighborhood in Allen, TX? I need to appeal my tax appraisal so that I can lower my property tax

I am in California. I own a house which has a tenant with a lease until Feb 2007.
I gave the tenant the first right of refusal to buy the house from Feb -March 1st. I did this with a simple statement to this effect and then signed it. She did not sign it. I talked to the tenant today. She does not intend to buy it. She sent an e-mail stating this as well. Does this void my original promise to her? Can I get sued for selling to someone else ?
If so, can I at least put the property on the market, show it or do whatever else is involved in selling, without closing escrow with someone else until after March 1st? No attorney double talk please, just yes or no answers. If you really don’t know don’t double talk on the answer. Thanks to all ! C

I’m interested in receiving notification when a specific address (house number included) comes on the market. I know MLS databases (the western regional one is called RMLS) are the most comprehensive source of listings with a real estate agent. Ideally this service would permit me to input more than one specific address. Does something like this exist, or do I need to work with a broker to get this?

We all have open houses (weekly for realtors only) as new listings come on the market. Instead of just saving the e-mail with all of the addresses (mine included), how would I save them to use for my next open house? I tried to create a new category to store them in but it won’t let me save an empty category? Thanks! Gina
