What are some effective guerilla marketing techniques ?

I am new to marketing and on a budget. I have a tutoring service for college kids that I need to get out there. I’m in a time crunch and need to get the program launched in less than a month.

I’ve done direct mail and some new media work plus some fliers.

What else is possible?

Where can I find a place to send advertising flyers for me?

ok so here’s the deal…. My dad is looking for a place that can send flyers to people houses… like through postal mail…. You know like those annoying advertising propagandas…. Is there any place where he can have others simply mail it to people? If so, any idea on the cost? I’d really appreciate it if someone can answer this. Thanks!

How do I go about presenting a sales and marketing plan via email to business owner but protect my idea?

I have what I beleive to be a good sales and marketing plan for a new type of business. I have spoken to the owner and he ask for any Ideas I had for both in our first conversation over the phone. My goal is to implement the plan and work as an independant agent with his company. I have given ideas to others before and they have used them to make money and did not include me in the profits. I don’t want this to happen again. He seems honest but once burned as they say. I want to protect myself, but I also really want him to see my plan because this is an industry I want to get into and feel this is my chance. How do I go about letting him look at the plan but insure if it is used without me I have legal recourse. I do not want to be to forceful in having him sign some big legal contract after only one conversation.

What DBMSs do you recommend? I need to describe database functions, types, and models for the clients?

I need to meet software needs with the purchase of database software. Software to be able to manage large amounts of data normally stored in paper form. I like the idea of moving to a data base system. I have spoken to the employees about more specific data needs such as data about customers, suppliers, and employees, but the information is difficult to retrieve and make sense of it. Sales and inventory records are kept on paper making it difficult to analyze sales trends or accurately manage inventory.
A lot of data is to be shared with franchisees.
Our current offerings are shared when we meet with customer about how well our product is doing.
Financial information is difficult to compile because everything is recorded on paper.
I need a better way to track how well our marketing is doing and to gather data about our customers
My primary concern is keeping track of inventory.
Maintain employee records. I need accurate information on employee benefits, retirement and contributions.

How do you advertise a database company online?

I am the US contact for a small database business based in India. The company has a website and I’d like to help with marketing the company but I don’t really know who to contact in regards to that. I’ve done a TINY bit of online advertising, but I want to learn more. I was told to send letters to CEOs of small businesses, but I don’t even know the names of any small businesses to get started. So, any tips would be VERY helpful!! Thank you!

Looking for Direct Marketing Software?

for my brother’s business. He broke away from his old company and has been working for himself for about a year. He’s in sales (windows/doors). Things are picking up just by word of mouth….and he wants to hire me on to help him out with the paper work. He has boxes and boxes of papers, old clients…etc. First thing I am going to do is get these old clients into some kind of database system. And then we want to do some direct marketing. Someone suggested ACT! 2007. Anyone else agree? We have Macs. And can you give me idea (non-technical) of how this works, I have been staying home with my kids for 4 yrs, so go slow!
Can we even use this for the Mac??
Yeah yeah, I do understand both platforms. I chose Mac for personal use. I learned all my computer stuff on a Mac over 20 yrs ago. Then in the workforce, a good 15 years on PC. And my husband is actually the Tech Mgr for a high profile company, and knows PC very well. I agree PC is better for business, but we’d like to see what we can do right away with what we have. Thanks for the input.
