AugWhen should I make a follow up phone call after e-mailing a resume?
I prefer to e-mail my resume to potential employers. I am always sure to include an appropriate cover letter. When I have the phone number of the contact as well, I like to make a follow up call. Should I call immediately after sending and introduce myself, then let the employer know that I sent my resume? If not, how long should I wait? I do not want to annoy anyone, but I live in a very tough job market (Michigan) and I need to stand out.

JunDoes anyone know where to get email Marketing List?
I am using Sales Genie and it ***** for email’s! It gives all other information about a Company but not the email.
It gives some of their websites and I have to go to the Contact Us section in the websites to get the emails!
I could have done this on a Google Search!
What I need is an email list of all the Web Designers in the Country, and hopefully one that can be Downloaded in Word or excel.
Thanks for the help, i am very frustrated and wasted my Money with Sales Genie.
I need an email list of Web Designers only! And I don’t plan on Spamming them, thanks

AprIs it illegal to contact prior clients from past employment to follow to new business?
My new business is conducting a large marketing mail out through a local printer. The printer has sent postcards to former clients of mine that I had when I worked for someone else, an industry related mailing list was used by them. What if one of my former clients decides to call me and change firms? How do I advise them? Do I take the client on? Do I politely say it would be a conflict of interest to have them switch firms? Would there be a legal problem as a result of taking them on? For years I’ve had my hair and nail techs call me and tell me they’ve switched to a new salon and there were no problems as a result. My business is a services firm. Thank you
There is not a do not compete agreement between anyone.

DecDo I have to respond to unsolicited emails?
I work in marketing and am bombarded with emails offering venues, marketing and promotional items and various other arb services. I did not ask these people to contact me, but understand and appreciate that they are only trying to market themselves. Replying takes up my time and email resources. What should I do?
